Edmonton is the capital of Alberta and is located along the North Saskatchewan River. Edmonton also has a large Ukrainian population. You can visit the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village that’s just outside of the city to learn more about this interesting part of the city’s history. The museum has dozens of historic buildings that will give you a glimpse of what it would have been like to have lived in the area in the early 20th century.
Some of the other places to visit include the Art Gallery of Alberta, the Francis Winspear Centre for Music, and the Alberta Aviation Museum. You might also want to watch the Edmonton Oilers or spend some time at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. As you can see, there is never a shortage of things to enjoy.

Getting Around in Edmonton
The Edmonton Transit Service operates the Edmonton Light Rail Transit, as well as a large fleet of buses to help residents navigate the city. Edmonton is also home to the Canadian National Railway and the Canadian Pacific Railway, as well as the Edmonton International Airport.
